Lindsey Nystrom is a recent graduate of UNC Asheville, where they studied Environmental Equity and American Indian and Indigenous Studies. While in school, Lindsey worked on projects involving divestment from fossil fuels, carbon neutrality on campus, environmental justice, and coastal resilience. Lindsey worked at the National Environmental Modeling and Analysis Center as a GIS Intern for 3 years before starting as an intern at Fernleaf in September of 2021. Lindsey is now a Resilience and GIS Associate at Fernleaf, and is thrilled to be able to combine their passion for equity, climate resilience, and curiosity with data driven decision making and analysis. In their spare time, Lindsey can be found petting strangers’ dogs and eating pineapple snow cones.
