Sealy is an entrepreneur at heart. With more than a decade of experience providing a range of economics, planning, climate, and communications services, she joined Fernleaf in early 2021. Sealy started her career as a data economist at RTI International in the Climate Change Division. Prior to joining Fernleaf, she was the principal of Chipley Consulting, a planning economic analysis firm based in Asheville, NC. Sealy is adept at completing local and regional economic analyses, including market and economic impact assessments. She has mastered the art of communicating key findings in a clear, concise manner to provide public and private decision-makers with information they need to make effective decisions. She also specializes in developing targeted stakeholder involvement strategies that enhance community engagement. Through extensive project management experience she has developed an understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing communities today, and a broad skill set to help them take appropriate action.
Sealy holds a BS in Economics as well as Environmental Management and Policy from UNC Asheville, where she worked closely with UNC Asheville’s National Environmental Modeling and Analysis Center (NEMAC). She has a deep love for the mountains of Western North Carolina, and loves mountain biking, climbing, and trail running when she’s not taking local adventures with her husband and two boys.
