Resilient Jacksonville Vulnerability Assessment
Summary
Fernleaf supported the City of Jacksonville's climate risk and resilience plan study by conducting a citywide vulnerability and risk assessment. The assessment focused on key hazards, including flooding, extreme heat, wildfire, and high winds. It evaluated their impact on community assets such as homes, infrastructure and critical services, commercial and industrial properties, and open space and vacant land. Using the firm’s analytical tool, AccelAdapt, Fernleaf developed scalable graphical and tabular summaries of vulnerabilities and risks to the community that enabled the team of resilience practitioners to make informed decisions.
